The Biggest Myth - BUSTED

You CAN bring food and drinks (no glass) into the movie theatre! All these years I went to extreme lengths to sneak candy and bottles of soda under my shirt, down my pants, and stuffed in my purse. My mom used to sneak hot dogs (from home), bags of popped corn (from home), and a six back of beer into the movies. We must have looked like so odd bringing giant luggage sized bags in to see Rocky. Well yesterday we go to the picture show and my friends fiance' says he goes in with bags of goodies and sacks of McDonalds all the time! So I was still nervous and stuffed our Candy in my purse but I held our waters with confidence and fearlessness and we got in!! I love this country!

Ah yes. When 'Titanic' first opened in St Louis, a few friends and I took advantage of the 99 cent menu at Taco Bell. Stunk up the whole place but had plenty-o-rice and beans for the entire front row. Did I mention that we snuck in to see the movie?

peace out, d-nice!

Did you stink up the place with the taco bell meal or with the gaseous aftermath?

i bring a big ol' bag of popcorn and stuff... but we don't go to the movies very often anymore. the prices are so effed up. we have netflix and a projector and a blank wall. better than the movies. more comfortable, too :)

How does that projector work?? Do I need to buy one?? I may sound mental but.. does it play DVDs?

you hook up a dvd player to the projector (or your computer) and make you sure you have a screen or a very blank wall (preferably of a white or other very light color) and voila! movie magic right in your own home.

you can get them for fairly cheap now. $899-$999 for the lower end models.

It does depend on where you go to the movies and who is working. I like to grab In-n-out before I go...but I have been stopped by a couple of too-big-for-their-britches teenagers that told me I could not bring my bottled water in, I had to buy theirs. Yeah right! I giggled like a maniac as I waltzed pass them with my water. So D-nice, you bring your water in! And your candy, too!

Netflix rocks!!! But yes, my mom insists that sneaking in food to a movie theater makes it MUCH more exciting. I told her she needs to get out more. Love ya!
