Little Seizure

My dog, Dixie (click here to see pic), had her 2nd seizure today! We've had her over two years and this is the second time it has happened. It is so sad, she walked into my office, flops down next to my chair, paddling her feet, her body shaking and her big brown eyes look so scared. All I can do is pet her tell her she is a good girl. Even through her whole body seizing, I can tell she still likes to get her butt scratched, she kind if lifted her leg when I scratched her..hehe. It passed after a couple minutes and she was her sweet, gentle self again prancing all about the place. I sometimes forget how needy dogs are compared to cats. When my cats get sick they hide and want to be alone, but dogs want comfort from their person. I really felt like her mommy, she totally came in here to get help. This whole "dog love" is still new to me, I was not a fan of dogs at ALL until we got her and it still suprises me how they love us humans so doggon' much :)

Random Note 1: Did anyone see John Travolta crying his ass off on Oprah yesterday... hhoooaa... I dig his movies, but that was hard to watch... wah..wah...

Random Note 2: Jon Stewart was on some show and talking about John Edwards (John Kerry's VP candidate...young innocent looking fellow) and Jon Stewart said

"I feel so bad for John Edwards, he is so fresh and new and the political machine is going to chew him up and spit him out... I just wanna say, stay gold pony boy!"..hehehe.. I thought Cindy Lou... would like that one.

Your poor doggie!! Is she ok?? I think I would be very freaked out if my dog had a siezure. She has bad allergies (to grass, and leaves, etc, it's just great) and she is constantly choking and coughing in the summer months, and that breaks my heart!

Annie (my dog!) and I send Dixie get well wishes and belly rubs!

I'm sorry about Dixie. She's lucky to have a mommy like you! Jon Stewart is awesome, I love that comment. Stay gold, Ponyboy. Ha ha ha!

D-nice - I saw your name (that I think is your real name...) - let me ask you something: are you Portuguese or Brazilian?

I really like that picture of Dixie, I saved it. I figure the car was stopped and you took that picture from outside...otherwise you would be on the hood taking the shot while Scott was driving. I'd almost like to pretend that is what you did, because that is some funny image. Ha!

Wow. I can hardly take it when one of my cat's coughs up a hairball. You're a good mommy. Did you know that 84% of pet owners refer to themselves as the pet's mom or dad? That's super interesting, right? Right?

Oh dammit...some cars have four doors...so you were in the passenger seat and Dixie was in the backseat. I hate that I figured that out, I really would rather imagine you strapped on the hood of the car. Haha. Why do I think that is funny?

I hope Dixie is feeling ok.

Me and Milo send Dixie all the hugs and tummy scrathces in the world!! And that picture of her is beautiful! I printed it and am going to hang it in my cube. Btw, I love the "stay gold" comment. The Outsiders was my fav book ever growing up, I secretly fanticized about being the little sister so that I could snuggle with all those hot men/boys. (Is that weird?)
